How to use my vegetable oil?
Why vegetable oil became an integral part of our slow beauty routine?
First of all, vegetable oil is the ideal natural moisturizer with its important amount of essential fatty acid, antioxidant and vitamin A, D, E and sometimes even vitamin K.
Second of all, it’s a hydrating product that truly works without just doing superficially the job! Indeed, vegetable oil penetrates easily and nourishes deeply our epidermis.
Thirdly, it is one of the few moisturizers that don’t stop the work at the first layer of the epidermis; vegetable oils hydrate deeply every layers of your skin.
I can already hearing some of you saying “oil leaves the skin greasy and I will get some spots!” This is not true, if the product is adapted to your skin and properly applied, the only risk is to get a baby skin in a more natural way than using a hydrating cream with 70% of chemical inputs which are very aggressive to your skin. In addition, there are some dry vegetable oils, like the prickly pear seed oil, or coco oil which nourish your skin without leaving a greasy film on the skin.
How to apply my vegetable oil?
To optimize your oil benefits, we recommend to put 2 till 4 drops into your hand (no more than 4 drops, which explains the cost of some oils). Rub your hands to lightly warm the oil, then apply it on the different parts of your body.
However be careful, it is not the same application manner to massage the face, the body or the hair.
- For the face, apply from the center outwards with smooth movements. It is a very old practice inspired from Chinese medicine. It will provide suppleness and elasticity to your face
- For the body, we got inspired from Ayurvedic medicine by massaging with circular movements each part. Starting by the bust, the arms, the body and the legs.
- Finally apply the oil directly into the hair and the scalp (you can also massage to boost hair growth!). To get an amazing effect: wrap your hair in a warm towel, leave on for 10 to 15 minutes (or the whole night if you wish). The oil will nourish and provide brightness and volume to your hair.
Be careful! Don’t make the mistake! Most of the vegetable oils don’t contain any sun protection factor. Do not get exposed to sunlight, instead of nourishing your hair you would burn it.
